Hello G6 Parents,

 

Our classes will have their second round of Exams starting next week for this semester.

 

Please note the scheduled test dates: 

Listening Exam

Friday, April 10th

Oral Presentation Exam

Wednesday, April 8th – Thursday, April 9th

English Written Exam

Tuesday, April 14th

 

The tests will cover the following:

 

LISTENING EXAM:

This exam will include vocabulary from weeks 3-8.

Use and trust your instincts. Stay focused and listen carefully to the teacher before selecting your answer. Some of the questions will try and trick you.

 

ORAL PRESENTATION TEST:

Students will need to be prepared for an interview by the teacher. Students will be given a topic beforehand. During the interview, students will be asked several questions, and will have to answer in complete sentences that fully answer the question.

 

WRITTEN TEST

Review the Communication book, Reader’s and Writer’s Notebook, homework writing books, and quizzes and unit tests for weeks 3-8.

 

Focus will be on all vocabulary from Weeks 3-8. Students should be familiar with definition, spelling, and using it in a sentence.

 

Reading Street 5.2 Stories will include Journey to the Center of the Earth and Ghost Towns of the American West. Students should have a solid understanding of each story’s main plot points and be able to demonstrate comprehension of key events and ideas.

 

The following conventions will be assessed: Comparative and superlative adjectives; Latin Roots; Greek parts; and adverbs.

 

 

We have asked the students to bring home their books so they can prepare for the exams. Please make sure to study to ensure success on the exam. Good luck, and remember to ask questions in class if you need any clarifications!
